Contraception - Online Course
Course description
This course provides the skills and knowledge required by health professionals to provide evidence-based information, choice facilitation and method-specific contraception options within the Australian primary care context.
The course will equip health professionals with specialised knowledge and includes all contraceptive methods, contraindications, initiation practices, side effects, and management of common issues. Contraceptive consultation frameworks, options for people in specific circumstances, addressing barriers to contraception and coordination of information and referral pathways will also be covered. This course does not teach contraceptive implant or IUD insertion.
