Clinical Update for Nurses and Midwives
Course description
This update session is designed for those who wish to refresh and enhance their knowledge in reproductive and sexual health.
The 3-hour face-to-face update session is led by Family Planning Australia nurses and subject matter experts. Key topics covered include reproductive coercion, menopause, contraception updates and STI updates.
This session is designed to provide participants with the latest clinical updates and practical tools to improve patient care in the fields of reproductive and sexual health. Delivered through a combination of expert lectures, case discussions, and interactive Q&A, the session focuses on key areas that directly impact everyday practice in primary care settings.
Lunch will be included.
This training is offered in three different locations in NSW.

Who should attend?
Nurses (Registered and Enrolled) and Midwives seeking to update their clinical knowledge and skills in reproductive and sexual health.
Course structure
The session is offered as a 3-hour face-to-face update session. The session aims to equip participants with up-to-date clinical knowledge, evidence-based practices, and practical strategies for managing reproductive and sexual health concerns in primary care. Expert Family Planning Australia nurses and subject matter experts will lead engaging presentations on each topic.
An optional Cervical Screening Comprehensive Skills Training Workshop will be held immediately after the update session. This will require a separate registration.

Recognition / Accreditation
Participants who attend the update will be issued with a Statement of Attendance that can be used as evidence for a self-recorded activity for CPD.
