Clinical Update for GPs

Course description

This update session is designed for GPs and nurse practitioners who wish to refresh and enhance their knowledge in reproductive and sexual health.

The 4-hour face-to-face update session is led by Family Planning Australia clinicians and external subject matter experts. Key topics covered include menopause, contraception updates, pelvic pain and pathways for unintended pregnancy in primary care.

This session is designed to provide primary care clinicians with the latest clinical updates and practical tools to improve patient care in the fields of reproductive and sexual health. Delivered through a combination of expert lectures, case discussions, and interactive Q&A, the session focuses on key areas that directly impact everyday practice in primary care settings.

Lunch will be included.

This training is offered in three different locations in NSW.

  • Newington
  • New Castle 
  • Wagga Wagga

Who should attend?

Primary care clinicians (GPs, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers) seeking to enhance their clinical knowledge and skills in reproductive and sexual health.

Course structure

This is a 4-hour face-to-face update session. It will equip clinicians with up-to-date clinical knowledge, evidence-based practices, and practical strategies for managing reproductive and sexual health concerns in primary care. Expert Family Planning Australia clinicians and subject matter experts will lead engaging presentations on each topic, with a focus on practical applications.

An optional Implanon Insertion and Removal Workshop will be held immediately after the update session. This will require a separate registration.

Course cost

$190 – Morning update session only (Lunch Included)

$500 - Morning update session with Implanon Insertion and Removal Workshop (Lunch Included)

Recognition / Accreditation

Participants who attend the workshop will be issued with a Statement of Attendance that can be used as evidence for a self-recorded activity for CPD.
