Booking an appointment for your Cervical Screening Test!

Should you have a Cervical Screening Test?

Cervical Screening Tests can help prevent cervical cancer. You should have the Cervical Screening Test if you:

  • are a woman
  • are between 25 and 74 years old
  • have ever had sexual contact

You should have the test every 5 years. The test is quick and pain free. For more information about the Cervical Screening Test click here.

You can book an appointment with us to have your Cervical Screening Test or to find out more about the test. You can also visit our doctors and nurses to discuss any other reproductive and sexual health concerns or questions you may have.

Call 9754 1322 or email fairfieldappts@fpnsw.org.au to book your appointment at our Fairfield clinic. To see if there is another clinic near you click here.

At Family Planning NSW:

  • Our doctors and nurses respect your privacy and protect your confidentiality. Confidentiality means that no one will find out what was said in your appointment
  • Female doctors and nurses are available
  • Interpreters are available. Our receptionist can make sure there is an interpreter at your appointment, either face to face, or on the phone
  • There is no cost to clients aged 18 years or under and for all concession card holders. For any other clients with concerns about costs associated with an appointment, discuss this with us. We can reduce or remove the costs of your appointment.

To talk to someone in your language, call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450. Ask them to connect you to Family Planning NSW.
