This two-day course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to conduct effective community education projects. Course content includes learning about project planning and information about community education.
Individuals who work in community development and health promotion including community health centres, women's health, sexual health, youth organisations and migrant resource services.
Applicants must have sound language, literacy and numeracy skills to read and write documents, and be able to communicate appropriately both in a written and oral form.
A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency, will be issued subject to successful completion of the course and workplace assessments.
Assessment tasks include developing, delivering and reviewing a community education project and short answer questions to assess knowledge.
Nationally Recognised Training
This course has been endorsed by APEC No 060310255 as authorised by Royal College of Nursing Australia, according to approved criteria. Attendance attracts 12 RCNA CNE points as part of RCNA's Life Long Learning Program (3LP).
